Course description

The basic course / PLUS is the ideal introduction to learning sailing from scratch. You practise the basic manoeuvres and experience the fascination of sailing. In line with our motto "learning by sailing", the focus of the training is on practice. You will already be sailing on the first half-day of the course, with the theory complementing the practice. By the end of the course, you will be able to manoeuvre a dinghy safely and independently.
If you would also like to take the next step this summer and do the BFA inland, then either the 0-100 course or the All Inclusive course are of interest to you.

Prerequisites

No previous sailing experience necessary
12 years and older (the junior basic course can be attended from the age of 10)

Basic course - excluding boat hire until the end of the season - € 380,-
Basic course PLUS - including boat hire until the end of the season - € 495,-

Minimum number of participants: 4 people - if there are fewer participants, the courses will be shortened.

The course fee includes boat hire during the course, lifejacket and oilskins.

If you would like to attend the basic course and BFA inland course in one season, then our all-inclusive course is the right course for you.

Examination and issue fee for basic licence: € 35
Script: € 8,-

Learnautik app: free collection of questions for practising (the extension for the BFA-Binnen is available for our guests for € 20 - please request by email)
Spectacle strap: € 8,- (if necessary)

Take along

There is no such thing as bad weather - only the wrong clothes!
What you should have with you:

Comfortable and sporty clothing,
Spare clothes,
Shoes with non-slip soles that can get wet (old trainers, sneakers,... - flip flops are not suitable),
Rainwear (if available),
sun protection.

Start of the season: Monday, 27 April to Thursday, 30 April (Thursday afternoon free practice)

Bank holidays: Friday, 1 May to Sunday, 3 May

Ascension Day: Thursday, 14 May to Sunday, 17 May (Friday not a course day)
Whitsun course: Saturday, 23 May to Monday, 25 May
Corpus Christi: Thursday, 4 June to Sunday, 7 June (Friday not a course day)

Weekend course from 25 April 2026 ongoing

Course times: 3 freely selectable weekend days (Saturdays and/or Sundays)
09:30 - 12:30 and 14:00 - 17:00

Weekly course

from 6 July 2026 every week during the summer holidays up to and including 4 September 2026
Course times: Monday to Thursday
09:30 - 12:30 and 14:00 - 16:00 (Friday free practice possible)

Minimum number of participants 4 persons, otherwise the course times will be shortened
