Skippering has to be learned
The first step has been taken and after the BFA-Binnen it should now be the BFA-FB2? Or is it already a long-cherished dream to go sailing at the sea even without sailing skills? Then it's time to sign up for one of our training trips.
Course description
In order to be able to enjoy sailing with all its surprises, you need to have a sound training. During a training cruise we will be sailing along the Croatian or Slovenian coast and you will learn to lead a sailing yacht in responsible positions (watch keeping, navigation).
Requirements
- good swimming skills
- Minimum age 14 years, in order to be able to have the nautical miles for the navigation training confirmed
- Minimum number of participants per trip: 4 persons
Aim of a cruise and conclusion
Aim of a cruise
All manoeuvres under sail and under motor, safe watch keeping and navigation, weather observation, navigation at night, etc. are practised. During these training weeks, you will learn as a watch leader what tasks a skipper has to master and as a navigator how to guide the crew and yacht safely into the harbour.
Completion
After a few weeks of training trips (three weeks on average), you are well trained to take the practical BFA - FB2 (Befähigungsausweis Fahrtenbereich 2) exam. For this, you need 500 nautical miles and three night trips and three night approaches. The BFA - FB2 entitles you to sail between nearby ports along the coast on yachts up to 24m. Coastal navigation (FB 2) covers a range of 20 nautical miles measured from the coast. To be eligible for the practical exam, you also need to have passed a theory exam (FB2 seminar) taken within the last 2.5 years prior to taking the practical exam.

One week (Saturday to Saturday).

Berth:
€ 835.00 per person (single berth in a 2-person cabin),
€ 1370.00 per person for single occupancy of a double cabin (one single occupancy per cruise is possible)
(including bed linen, base taxes and final cleaning, excluding arrival and departure, meals, harbour fees and diesel, the skipper's meals are paid for by the crew)
The yacht will be selected according to the number of participants. It will be between 36 and 50 feet long and will be occupied by a maximum of 6 people (excluding the skipper).
