In our 0 - 100 course, you will learn the basics of sailing from the ground up. Our experienced instructors will teach you everything you need to know to safely and confidently steer a sailing boat. By the end of the course, you will not only have mastered the theory, but will also have gained practical experience on the water. Course description

In line with our motto "learning by sailing", the focus of this course is on practical training - you will spend a lot of time on the water and can look forward to an intensive week of sailing. The theory includes the chapters on boating, sailing theory, law, meteorology, safety, ropes and knots.
The BFA-Binnen course lays the foundation for your sailing training and also gives you a licence for regatta sailing.

Swimming skills
Age requirement for admission to the BFA-Binnen examination: 13 years (the licence is not issued until the age of 14) or completed 14th year,
Minimum age 13 years

Practical sailing skills: sailing specified courses, tacking, jibing, buoy overboard, shooting up, mooring and casting off, correct sail position and trim, handling the boat, nautical knots,...
Theoretical knowledge: Boating theory, sailing theory, law, meteorology, safety, ropes and knots,..

Completion

The BFA Inland confirms that the practical and theoretical examination for the BFA Inland has been passed. The inland navigation licence authorises its holder to independently operate sailing yachts in the inland navigation area.

Scope and prices

Course days

Look forward to an exciting week of sailing - the course lasts seven days - always from Saturday to Friday and concludes on Friday afternoon with the BFA - Binnen exam.

Take along

There is no such thing as bad weather - only the wrong clothes!
What you should bring:

Comfortable and sporty clothing,
Spare clothing,
Shoes with a non-slip sole that can get wet (old trainers, sneakers,... - flip flops are not suitable),
Rainwear (if available),
Sun protection
Passport photo

Price

0 - 100 course: € 615,-
0 - 100 course PLUS: € 720,- including boat hire until the end of the season

Minimum number of participants: 5 persons

The course fee includes boat hire during the course, life jackets and oilskins.

Additional costs - optional:
Exam fee: € 35,- (practice: € 20,-, theory: € 15,-)
Issue fee (since 8 October 2012): € 30,- (we will apply to the ÖSV to issue the licence for you)

Saturday to Friday
09:30 - 12:30 and 14:00 - 16:00
Free practice on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoon
on 3 to 4 afternoons followed by theory until approx. 18:30

on Friday at 2 pm
